Swedish Tourism Advertising & New Charters!

Our cultural presentation for April was a big hit! SVEA member Brenda Myers presented about Visit Sweden's clever tourism advertising over the last few years, through her lens of over 40 years working in the tourism industry. Everyone enjoyed watching the humorous and beautiful ads - and it's safe to say we all left wanting to book our next visit to Sverige! Thanks to Brenda for the great presentation. Longtime music leaders Annette Johansson and John Seest were presented with the official charter of our new activities clubs: Dans Norden and Skandilocity, which SVEA 253 has official absorbed into the lodge! We finished off the day with a delicious fika.

Our children's club, SVEA Skolan, also met this month, and the kids learned how to say the days of the week in Swedish, in addition to practicing songs for Midsommar and Lucia! 15 kids and 10 parents participated. We also got to celebrate receiving the official charter for the children's club!
